I wasn't up in this thread last year with me Pro Patriots everything talk.

In an ideal world we'd get more people to this thread that stick around like you did, but there's a lot of people that only drop in now and again when their team has just done something cool or boneheaded (usually in a game).

I hope that by making sure that this thread stays welcoming to new people/football fans interested in posting here that we'll continue to get more constant contributions and grow the number of regulars.

This thread is a lot more fun when it's filled with differing fandoms and viewpoints so I always enjoy fans from teams we don't see too often stop by and post. There's always the risk people start being less friendly when rivals post in the same thread, but so far I think everyone has been very reasonable, even when faced with rival team fans.



On football: Cardinals still struggeling in the redzone/short yardage. That's a real problem if they want to get far in the playoffs. Have to be able to finish drives.

That CJ run was bullshit. If a defender comes in and lays him out they throw a flag. Refs needs to better at calling plays dead vs. keeping them alive.

Just make sure he touches the ground. There were plays IN THIS GAME where guys forced the receiver down an extra time to be sure he was down. Stuff like that run has been going on as long as I've been watching football. Just bad presence of mind.

I mean, you are expected to be aggressive and throw hard hits, but as soon as the whistle goes you are supposed to just drop everything and act normal again. That's a fine line to walk when you are in pressure situations trying to stop some guy from getting a score or first down.

At eight points, it's their largest margin of defeat of the season. If a few plays go their way, the narrative for their season is totally different.

If you actually watched some of those games though, Ravens have looked like a terrible team regardless. Tonight's score may look close but Arizona was flat out better.
